Amaryllis Santiago was born in Lebanon, PA. She discovered music and writing poetry at an early age. Poetry Within is a collection that was started since she was in the eighth grade. It is more on the contemporary spiritual side of things that she has experienced within her life.
Amaryllis will be releasing her third CD- “Sabor Latino”, in early 2010. The second CD that she released is called, “Mystique” (2009).
Her first endeavor at producing her first CD, “The Next Level” (2006), earned her a special mention as the first “Latina” to have two songs in the MIDEM Preview Magazine Top 10 Charts at the 2008 MIDEM Music Conference in Cannes, France. She won an award in the Best Latin Artist category at the Central PA Hip Hop. (March 2007).
Amaryllis has worked with many musicians to accomplish the goal of performing at all types of events. She frequently donates time and talent for many worthy causes.
Amaryllis is an active member of NARAS, ASCAP, Lancaster Chamber of Commerce, OGC of Lancaster, and serves as a Panel judge NAACP Act-So Program.
She is currently attending Capella University and is working on her PhD in Education. She is an Alumnus at Regis University located in Colorado. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Third Sector Leadership & Music (2008).
She is an Alumnus of SUNY-Empire State College located in Saratoga Springs, NY. (2005). She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Community & Human Services.
Syllirama Entertainment, LLC (2009) was created and founded by Amaryllis. This brand new multi-faceted company is a for profit company that will meet the needs of individuals with the purpose of “reaching back” and “netweaving” community and talent together to form a cohesive tapestry.
